Echelon Creative provided prime contractor duties as well as completion of civil works for this project. EC Estimator / PM’s worked alongside the design team to value-engineer this project to bring the construction budget to a point that was feasible for all those involved
The project consisted of a 3,800 sf gas station / convenience store / Tim Hortons and 5,800 sf timber framed fuel canopy. Construction works include concrete foundation, engineered glulam/douglas fir post and beam structure with a green roof for both the building and the canopy.
The site work involved the installation of 2,100,000L fuel storage tanks, lock block retaining wall, curbs, sidewalks, hard surfaces as well as soft landscaping. This project received the “Retail-Award of Excellence” at the VIREB Commercial Building Awards in 2020.
